Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. She's professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name may also be stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band, for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are among the most well-known covers by the artist. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway through her music, also gave it some more recognition. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes first musical memory was when she discovered a piano within her loft and being captivated by its music. The parents of her May-Britt family and Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for an occupation or pastime but to grow. To do this she wrote her first music that was her own. Her influences include renowned artists Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan and her love of Bjork's style. When she was told by her mother that her songs can be a catalyst for her to gain not only fame but also help people see the importance of their music in the world and realize how they can benefit from her songs, she opted to begin performing publicly. When she was six she began to learn the piano, and when she was nine was writing music. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora wasn't just a fantasy of childhood. She claims that she enjoys composing songs. Music is for her the best way to convey anything.
